Greetings Instrumental Music Teachers of Region 6
I hope this school year is treating you well. I always enjoy the opportunity to see and speak with all of you, and witness first-hand the fruits of your labor—the wonderful job you do with your students.
Despite the hectic nature of last winter, we apparently stumbled onto something that many of you likes--a separate day for HS and MS festivals! Based on your feedback, I will make that the model again this year. Hopefully the weather will better cooperate--at least we know that we are not quite so rushed because of WVMEA's conference date!
The lobby of the Media Arts Center will again serve as the check-in/registration hub. It is imperative that each of you check in with us at the registration table as soon as you arrive. We are excited to be able to show off our brand-new building addition—the MAC. We will be again offering recording services to ANYONE who would like to have a recording of their solo or small ensemble event made on Saturday. This year recordings will be done in our state-of-the-art recording studio in the MAC. State nominees will be given priority in the studio, but all are welcome to come try it out for a nominal fee. Information regarding recording guidelines and procedures will be found at the registration area in the lobby.

Festival 1—Saturday, January 30, 2011: High School
Festival 2—Saturday, February 27, 2011: Middle School (AFTERNOON)
