Dr. Scott Meier

Scott Meier, is Assistant Professor of Saxophone and Music Education at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania.  Dr. Meier holds a PhD from Florida State University, a BM in Music Education from the University of Wyoming, and an MM in Woodwind Doubling from Redlands University.

Meier has additionally taught at the Hartt School of Music of the University of Hartford, Florida State University, University of the Redlands, and for seven years taught high school music and chaired a fine arts department in the state of Arizona.

Meier has performed with the Dave Stevens Big Band, the Crossroads Jazz Ensemble, and the Presque Isle Saxophone Quartet, of which he is a founding member. He has served as a clinician in Wyoming, California, Florida, Georgia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
